The much awaited second season of “Big Little Lies,” is actually going to become a reality sooner, in fact a little sooner.
HBO is reportedly eyeing a Spring 2018 production start for the series, according to an exclusive report from TVLine.
Not just two weeks ago, the series EP/writer David E. Kelly indirectly pointed to TVLine that the second season was nearing a scheduling stage.
“We’re kicking around ideas and trying to lasso the talent [and] get the band back together,” he shared. “It’s just a lot of logistical things. But I’m optimistic because everyone wants to do it. We feel we still have storytelling to do. No decision has been made yet, but we’re hopeful. Where we left it, I felt like it did open the opportunity for a lot more storytelling,” TVLine reported.
The female-driven series, which bagged around eight Emmy Awards including the Outstanding Limited Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for Nicole Kidman, is soon going to be back. Kidman and fellow leading lady/EP Reese Witherspoon have both expressed interest in keeping the franchise going, while the director Jean-Marc Vallee, also wants it going now.
However, it’s better to take it with a pinch of salt, as HBO is still determined to decline anything related to the confirmation of the second season.
