‘Call of Duty’: Warzone & Modern Warfare: Grau To Be Nerfed Very Soon

It seems that the developer Infinity Ward might actually give the Grau a nerf, in the next update, after accusations of it being overpowered.

Joe Cecot, co-design director of multiplayer in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare,” in response to a fan’ query on Twitter, has revealed that the development team is working on several adjustments to Grau, for a mid-season update. There is no specific information about the release date as of now.

“We have a batch of weapon tuning in the works for the mid season update. Patch notes will outline when they drop :),” wrote Cecot on his Twitter, as reported by GameSpot.

The Grau 5.56 assault rifle, which was introduced to the “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and “Call of Duty: Warzone,” earlier this year, is more of lethal weapon, powerful exceptionally accurate in any range.

“Call of Duty” players have been showing great displeasure towards the Grau, with constant requests to nerf the rifle, due to the imbalance in weapon power in “Modern Warfare” and “Warzone.” Players wielding Grau have come to stay at a huge advantage margin, than the others, causing too many outbursts.

This is not the first weapon to be nerfed, as the developers had previously nerfed 725 shotgun and M4A1 assault rifle in several attempts. Still, some players complain these weapons to be over-powered.

While the developers are constantly releasing new content for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” and “Warzone,” there are also reports of the new “Call of Duty: Black Ops” game launch this year. However, nothing can be confirmed yet, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic affecting games development.
