American Horror Stories – The AHS Spinoff To Be Hulu-Exclusive
Ryan Murphy’s new anthology series “American Horror Stories” – a spinoff of “American Horror Story,” will be premiered exclusively on Hulu’s FX hub.
Hulu has announced that the weekly anthology will be now considered as an FX on Hulu original, unlike the parent series “American Horror Story,” which has all the previous nine seasons and the upcoming tenth season aired on FX, as reported by TVLine.
The spin-off “American Horror Stories” was announced by Ryan Murphy in a series of tweets, last month, and is being described as “a weekly anthology series from Ryan Murphy” featuring a different horror story each episode. There has been no other news or updates related to “American Horror Stories,” like the premiere date or the cast or if the confusing title is the final one.
Hulu also announced that the long-gestating adaptation of “Y: The Last Man” will also be an FX on Hulu original. The news comes as a part of Hulu’s presentation at the annual NewFronts event. It was announced by the then-CEO Bob Iger, during the launch of FX on Hulu, that a third of Hulu’s scripted originals would be supplied by FX in 2020 and 2021. The move of these series to the digital platform is just a part of this bigger plan.
As for “American Horror Story” Season 10, the last clue given by Ryan Murphy had led to reports of the season being beach-themed. It was also revealed that Macaulay Culkin will be joining the cast in this season, which will be his first recurring role on a TV show.
“AHS” Season 10 will also see the regulars Kathy Bates, Billy Lourd, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock returning. The sad part was that the air date was pushed back to 2021, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. There has been reports about the new spinoff “American Horror Stories” debuting alongside the flagship TV series in 2021, which has not yet be confirmed.
