‘Supernatural’ – ’15 Year Journey’ Coming to an End – Jensen Ackles Shares Last Day Pics

After 15 seasons, and more than 300 episodes in the long-running “Supernatural” series, Jensen Ackles bid goodbye to his character Dean Winchester, along with the entire SPN Family.

Being the older brother of the famous Winchester Brothers, Ackles shared images from the final day of filming on his official Instagram account, following with the hashtag #ThankyouSupernatural started trending.

His heartfelt message for the fans read – “Woke up at 6am this morning. That alarm went off with a heavy tone. Today is the final day of a 15 year journey. One that has changed my life forever. To those I have worked with on this journey and to those who have watched and supported…you will never understand my great appreciation for you. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t cover it. There just aren’t words. I’m so grateful for these memories that I will carry with me forever. What a ride it has been. And what a run. #spnfamilyforever here are a few shots from our final days…including today. I’ll try and send more later, but in true SPN form…we are in the middle of ‘nowhere’ and have zero service. Go figure. Stay tuned.”

The cast and crew, including Jared Padalecki and series creator Eric Kripke, have been sharing memories and messages on social media. The series has got hashtag #ThankyouSupernatural trending on the final day of shooting.

“Supernatural” was supposed to wrap up back in spring of 2020, but was delayed due to the shutdowns related to ongoing pandemic, as the final two episodes were yet to be filmed. As of now, there are a total of seven episodes left to air from the Season 15.

With all the extra time to give the fans a powerful ending, the “Supernatural” crew even planned to turn the final seven episodes into a bit of celebration, for the special occasion, as a memorable good-bye for the audience.

As for Ackles, it was recently announced that he will be joining the Season 3 cast of Amazon Prime’s “The Boys” as Soldier Boy, the very first Superhero, who after fighting in World War II, became a mainstay of American culture for decades.

The final episodes of the “Supernatural” series will be back on The CW on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET. After uncountable battles with hell, heaven and earth, the series’ finale will air on November 19, 2020.
