‘Supernatural’ – Final Day of Filming – Cast & Crew Share Heartfelt Messages

The beloved God of “Supernatural” series – Chuck, once said that “Nothing ever really ends.” Still, the era of “Supernatural” is coming to an end, with the entire cast and crew wrapping up the final day of shooting with heartfelt goodbyes. And can we hold it together? Certainly not!

For the past 15 years, since the very first episode of the series was aired in 2005, the show has more or less become a part of our lives. And it has changed the life of the stars – Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and others.

On the final day of filming, the series has the hashtage #ThankyouSupernatural trending with entire cast members, including the lead actors – Ackles and Padalecki, to guest stars, along with the series creator Eric Kripke and show producers sharing emotional messages.

Series creator Eric Kripke took to his twitter, to share the first ever scene that was shot for the entire series, along with the caption – “This was the first #Supernatural scene we shot. Today will be the last. I’m grateful & love you all beyond words. But it’s only over when you say it is, #SPNFamily. In the words of Kim Manners (RIP): Kick It In The Ass. #SPN @jarpad @JensenAckles @mishacollins”

Misha Collins, retweeted Kripke’s tweet with the message “#ThankYouSupernatural. You’ve changed my life in so many ways and you changed the world for the better. Fight on.”

Jim Beaver called “Supernatural” to be his home for the last 15 years, and tweeted “So it’s here. Last day of principal photography on Supernatural, my home for 15 years. Getting ready to go to work on it for the final time. Deep feelings. Very deep. I love these people. Okay. Let’s go kick it in the ass one last time.”

Rob Benedict tweeted “Big time love and props to the #SPN family on the last day of production.  I love you all.  I’ve so enjoyed the ride.  @therealKripke @JensenAckles @jarpad.”

“Supernatural” was supposed to wrap up back in spring of 2020, but was delayed due to the shutdowns related to ongoing pandemic, as the final two episodes were yet to be filmed. As of now, there are a total of seven episodes left to air from the Season 15.

With all the extra time to give the fans a powerful ending, the “Supernatural” crew even planned to turn the final seven episodes into a bit of celebration, for the special occasion, as a memorable good-bye for the audience.

The final episodes of the “Supernatural” series will be back on The CW on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET. After uncountable battles with hell, heaven and earth, the series’ finale will air on November 19, 2020.
